Ashara Mubaraka 1425H.
(Dubai) |
Reflections
3rd waaz – 4th Moharramul Haraam, 1425 H – Dubai
On the third day of Moharram we come to the zikr of Molana Ibrahim (AS). In “Wajjahto wajhiya” we pray, “ala millate Ibrahima wa deen-e-Mohammedin wa walayat-e-Alyyin”, (upon the creed of Ibrahim, deen of Mohammed and walayat of Ali) all three of these being incorporated into Ibrahim’s millat.
Elaborating the meaning of an Aayat in which Ibrahim Nabi (AS) calls four birds from distant hills and in this context of communication at a distance Huzurala recalled the call of Rasulallah (SA) to Molana Ali (AS) at the battle of Tabuk. Huzurala spoke of the “wireless.” This can relay messages hundreds of miles but whilst we have such equipment today the technology or the knowledge of it was not available at the time of Rasulallah (AS). Yet this knowledge was known to Rasulallah (SA) and, whilst he was in the battle of Tabuk and Molana Ali had been left in charge of Madinah, Molana Ali (AS) still heard Rasulallah’s (SA) call to Jihad and arrived in Tabuk to complete the victory.
Numbers are of great significance in Dawatul Haq. In yesterday’s waaz mubarak we learnt about the division of seven amongst the Nabis, Aimmat and Doat. Huzurala (TUS) made specific mention of how the people of the world, despite all their other differences, agree that there are seven days in a week. This is no coincidence!
Today was the 4th of Moharram and the number four has specific significances, some of which were explained by Huzurala (TUS) today. It is well known how adding the numbers that go up to four, 1+2+3+4 produces the number ten.
When the Dawat was near to being transferred to Hind four sahebs went to Yemen to the Dai and all four of them would become Dail Mutlaq. They were Syedna Yusuf (RA), Syedna Jalal (RA), Syedna Dawood bin Ajabshah (RA) and Syedna Dawood bin Qutubshah (RA).
In the context of the zikr of four, Huzurala (TUS) spoke of Rasulallah’s, Molana Ali’s, Molatena Fatema’s and Imam Hasan’s tears in mourning of Imam Husain (AS).
Forty. Molana Ali Zainulabideen (AS) cried for 40 years in remembrance of Imam Husain (AS). One of his servants became worried for the Imam but when he voiced his concern, Imam Zainulabideen (AS) replied, “What can I do? On Aashura, Shimr Laeen slew Imam Husain (AS) , my eyes do not cease to flow with tears when I remember his shahadat.”
Molana Ali Zainulabideen (AS) spent 40 years in mourning and, as a result of this ibadat of buka, he is known as Zainulabideen.
Today, as 1425 H begins, Huzurala has entered his 40th year of grieving and matam upon Imam Husain (AS) since becoming Dail Mutlaq in 1385H.
Returning to the zikr of four, Huzurala (TUS) explained that a person who does any one of the following four acts is assured paradise. And that assurance of paradise is immediate, not one for some time in the future. Those four acts are:
1. To quench the thirst of someone or something that is parched
2. To feed someone who is hungry
3. To clothe someone who needs clothing
4. To free a slave
Whilst speaking of quenching the thirst of someone who is thirsty Huzurala (TUS) recounted the shahadat of Molana Aliasgher (AS) and said that Molana Husain (AS) did not go to the enemy seeking water. Husain (AS) said, “Why should I seek water from them!?”
No, the thirst Molana Husain (AS) went to quench was Molana Aliasgher’s (AS) thirst for shahadat.
Huzurala’s (TUS) bayaan on various facets of four also emerged as he urged us to shed tears for Imam Husain (AS): “Will my Mumineen children not cry from all four corners of his eyes?”
In ending each day’s Reflections - tearful, matam performing, Mumineen in all four corners of the world join together in dua for the everlasting life of our beloved Huzurala (TUS).
